What does grief counseling bring you?
We often replace the word 'bereavement' at Praktijk Engel with 'surviving grief'. Surviving grief has more to do with remembering than forgetting. Grief is often seen as something that you have to get over and process, then leave it behind. The solution to negative emotions that arise from grief lies precisely in the memory and the relationship that remains. A person or part of your life that you have loved stays with you forever. In grief therapy, you learn to navigate this.
